Montgomery Ward White Astrocade

One of the most collectible models of the Astrocade is the white Astrocade.  The top of the console case is a distinctive off-white color instead of faux woodgrain.  This model came with covers featuring the red Bally Professional Arcade badge and the white Bally Computer System badge.

I recently purchased a nearly complete-in-box white Astrocade on eBay.  In fact, it is nearly complete in two boxes because the shipping box was included, something not mentioned in the auction description.  This particular unit was sold at the Montgomery Ward department store.  It is packaged in the Astrovision box that appeared between the original Bally box and the final Astrocade, Inc. box.  The white unit is displayed in a photo on the right side of the box, along with a Montgomery Ward sticker.  The shipping date was July 28, 1981.

Alas, the keypad is not functioning properly on this unit, which is a shame because it is in near mint condition.  Even so, the unit seems to work properly otherwise.
